International Career
Al Horford was an integral member of the Dominican Republic national team from 2008 to 2012. During his time on the team, he played alongside his younger brother, Tito Horford. In 2011, he led the team to a bronze medal at the FIBA Americas Championship, showcasing his exceptional talent and leadership abilities.
NBA Career
After a successful collegiate career with the Florida Gators, Horford declared for the NBA draft in 2007. He was selected third overall by the Atlanta Hawks and quickly established himself as a valuable asset to the team. Over the course of his career, Horford has played for several different franchises, including the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Oklahoma City Thunder. Horford has consistently put up impressive numbers throughout his NBA career. As of 2023, he has averaged 14.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He has also earned All-Star honors five times and was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2011.
